Deeper strains of hype-free house music as Contact turns two.

Two years after it first opened its doors and offered a fresh alternative to the clubbing landscape in Tokyo, Contact is celebrating its birthday with a weekend of music that captures the energy of the venue perfectly.
The primary focus of these parties will be to uphold the quality that has shaped out Contact since the beginning, inviting a select few artists and giving them extended sets for a deeper, more meaningful experience, supported by the consistent presence of the residents and locally rooted Contact family.

On the Friday night, the Studio X Floor will welcome Hot Since 82, otherwise known as UK producer and DJ Daley Padley. Since first bursting onto the scene in 2012 via renowned German label Get Physical, Padley has continued to roll out an infectious strain of deep house that has found a regular home on labels such as Moda Black, Truesoul and most recently Moon Harbour. Alongside his productions, his reputation as a DJ has seen him play some of the world’s most prominent clubs and festivals, presenting a sound that can captivate a large audience without diluting the subtle qualities that make his music so well respected.
Padley will be joined on the night by Tokyo mainstays CMT and Dazzle Drums, who will be presenting their own unique spins on the house and techno spectrum, while the Contact floor’s line-up includes a hardcore cratedigger duo and a world-renown turntablist: DJ Nori and Muro will step up under their Captain Vinyl moniker with 7 inch gems they have unearthed from across the world. Likewise, singular turntablist DJ Koco aka Shimokita will shred the dance floor with incredible tricks over his 7-inch collection.  of their Captain Vinyl moniker.
