Gonno guides you through a thrilling inspirational night

Following “Voiski Invites Gonno,” a party in this July at Concrete in Paris where the former booked the Japanese DJ, the latter reciprocates at the second installment of our new Babel night. The French producer, who shared the stage with Gonno for his Japan debut in 2014, has released for L.I.E.S in New York, Delsin and Dekmantel in Amsterdam in recent years, developing his comprehensive and structural approach to the wider concept of techno with his purely forward-thinking takes on the genre. Yet raw stark drums and delicate tonal layers generated by his distinctive analogue gear are somehow futuristic, nodding to the techno conventions. Also invited is Torn Hawk, a musical moniker of New York-based Luke Wyatt, who is known for his groundbreaking collage films with the motif of ’80s VHS-like analogue feel. He has pushed the envelope with his soundscape in which dusty samples are melded with nostalgic guitar licks that could be seen as an extension of krautrock and new age’s visionary quality. The prolific producer has spawned four albums and ten-odd singles for esoteric labels across the globe since his debut EP for L.I.E.S in 2012.
