Blissful autumn night of Jazzy beats with HUNGER

BRIGHTON Studio DAIKANYAMA celebrates its 8th anniversary.  ONE and ONLY, a festival that combines yoga, music and nature held under the support of the studio, celebrates the launch with a double anniversary.
For this occasion, rapper HUNGER of JAZZY SPORT’s GAGLE takes the stage.  His overwhelming rap skills create grooves and tones that have continued to satisfy the desire of music heads.  6th Generation, a beatmaker who’ll be sharing the stage for this occasion, has a strong connection with HUNGER.  Now hailed as the leading beatmaker of Tohoku region, 6th Generation has featured HUNGER on his 2nd album, a milestone released from HUNGER’S label〈松竹梅レコーズ〉.  Their interaction, displayed in tracks「火怨」「Authentics」「Stay Up」, creates a three-dimensional atmosphere with great intensity.  Their session with the sound system of Contact brings high expectations.
From JAZZY SPORT, we have BudaMunk, the world-class beatmaker and producer of SICK TEAM/GREEN BUTTER who is scheduled to release the album「SEARCHING SKIES」featuring the Berlin-based J. LAMOTTA, a rising queen of Soul.  Its mellow and tremendous depth will surely be the topic of the day.  In addition, AFRA, who released a 6 track EP「AFRA BEATS」without human beatbox, will be joining the lineup to pump up the floor.
Yusuke Yoshinaga, designer of the art direction company solla Inc. and the organizer of the Jazz/Soul/Funk party La Verdad that’s been running for the past 22 years; Sakuo from the culture magazine GIRL HOUYHNHNM, a digger who’s active at Counter Club in Shimokitazawa, will be playing Jazz/R&B/Hip Hop.  Hip Hop incorporated Soul and Reggae by Yusuke Takayamano, organizer of Beat Spectrum, a party that’s been running for over 18 years, and the grooves sounds of IZM from JAZZY SPORT and manager of Shimokitazawa’s shop.  BRIGHTON Studio’s owner, DJ, a member of JAZZY SPORT’s dance team BROKEN SPORT, Satoshi Miya completes the lineup to heat things up.
Since BRIGHTON Studio opened 8 years ago, it has served as a space for Daikanyama’s culture by incorporating yoga workshops, serving as a dance studio and live event venue, and most importantly a place for exchange.  With experienced yoga instructors, they have created the festival ONE and ONLY, a festival with the theme “Yoga and Music”, a sustainable culture that is not consumed.  And it will continue to serve as the base and platform for those who seek a natural stance.
