London’s latest business from the acclaimed retro-modern house duo

The latest Conductor event sees two distinct strands of British electronic music land at Contact for a night of forward-thinking club music.
On the Studio X Floor, we welcome London-based, New Zealand-born production duo Chaos In The CBD. Brothers Ben and Louis Helliker-Hales are synonymous with the Peckham-centric house music scene defined by labels and parties like Rhythm Section and You And Music. Theirs is a warm, organic take on house, loaded with expression and globally-minded in its use of percussion and atmospherics. As DJs, their residency on Rinse FM is a direct line into their broader tastes, where classic house and breakbeats rub up against soulful 80s grooves and upfront productions from their peers, all bound together by a heady mood that chimes with their own releases.
Glasgow’s Eclair Fifi heads up the Contact floor. A DJ with a long history in the Scottish underground scene, Fifi has risen to prominence in recent years thanks to her keen instinct for rabble-rousing sounds from across the electronic spectrum. Her roots in tough electro and rave collide with a love of Latin freestyle, synth pop, Southern rap and much more besides, where accapellas and curveball selections fly into the mix alongside razor-sharp beats – combined ingredients guaranteed to incite volatile reactions on the dancefloor.
