Pursuit of music with the sense of freedom

Dub originated in the late 60’s in Jamaica using effects to reinvent the sound of roots reggae. The liberating style spread throughout the world and has also found its place here in Japan. The release of the album「ASTRAL DUB WORK」by JUZU a.k.a. MOOCHY in February, a deep production of global beats including Dub, has proven once again the importance in the scene, a sound that takes you to a whole different dimension. MaL, with thorough knowledge of sound systems’ characteristics, has been a regular at the world’s biggest bass music festival “Outlook Festival” in Croatia. From Tokyo’s Dubstep scene, we have CITY1 from Back To Chill. Completing the lineup in the main room, the Dub’s heavy-hitter Suimin will be navigating the sonic journey.
The bar area also features liberating sounds led by Moodman, who has performed sets focused on the sounds of Basic Channel and has played alongside acts from LIVITY SOUND, a label that has been running for 14 years with Dub being its theme. MAGARA, the expert in Jamaican Reggae, Torei, and Hibiki Inatsune will be providing fresh hybrid sounds of dance music infused with Dub for this club night.
