Bruising electro, acid and techno

As Identified Patient, Dutch producer Job Veerman has been on a rapid ascent over the past few years, unfurling an irresistible sound that dwells in the darker corners of electro, techno, EBM and minimal wave. A long-running relationship with Pinkman has yielded sterling EPs, both solo and in collaboration with Sophie du Palais on vocals, while last year he also appearanced on Dekmantel’s UFO Series label. Of course, Veerman extends his knowledge and passion for the genre into his selections as a DJ as well, where old and new merge into one nuanced trip into neon-lit machine funk and dystopian disco devastation.

Veerman will be joined by another star of the Pinkman roster, Lokier. Hailing from Mexico, this emergent artist has also released on Boysnoize and Squirrels On Film, and specialises in acid, techno and EBM with a bite.

On the Contact Floor, an eclectic line-up will be headed up by Cocktail Party Effect. The project from Charlie Baldwin (aka Kasket) has yielded numerous EPs in the past four years, particularly for Pinch’s Cold Recordings label. Dealing in broken forms of techno and breakbeat, Baldwin will be a sharp-edged foil to the gnarly dungeon dynamics of the Studio X Floor.
