Celebration of the party that continues to stay at the forefront of the local scene

Curated by Romy Mats and VJ Camel, 解体新書 (Kaitai-Shinsho), the party focuses on various electronic music from around the world from their own unique perspective, enters their 3rd year in January of 2020. Their 3rd anniversary features Randomer and JASSS, along with local artists trusted and loved by Kaitai-Shinsho.
The UK techno flag-bearer Randomer made his way into the global scene through releases from Hessle Audio and Hemlock during the rise of the post-dubstep era, and in recent years from labels such as L.I.E.S and Clone. He returns to Japan along with JASSS, known for her releases on Mannequin and iDEAL. Her distinct style fuses afro/latin roots with industrial/EBM/experimental sounds. Extensive tours in 2019, including a gig for Kaitai-Shinsho in May where she tore up the dance floor, has opened new doors such as a residency at UK’s Rinse FM. Joining the headliners in Studio X, the splendid local act Celter is scheduled to set the mood with an opening set.
In the Contact floor, goat’s frontman YPY, who has composed music for YCAM’s「GEIST」and for the professional taiko drumming troupe Kodō, will be leading the pack of local/international talents with a live set. Also performing live are Albino Sound who fuses UK Bass and techno, and Saskiatokyo who has appeared at MUTEK.JP with Kode9. From Seoul, we have Mignon, whose appearance at Boiler Room Seoul in late 2019 is still fresh to our memories. Back To Chill’s resident HELKTRAM makes his first appearance at Kaitai-Shinsho, and to complete the solid lineup, k_yam, whose style varies from house to jungle and UK garage to rave sounds, takes the decks for an uncompromising evening.
