SUGARHILL paints the golden picture

SUGARHILL paints an alternative scene through original curation with a unique sense of humor, different from any other party, and great sensibilities in music. On this evening, marking the final chapter at Contact, SUGARHILL evokes and captures the scent of a certain golden era of Japan for those that have made that passage, as well as for those who have not.
In March, SUGARHILL hosted its brand’s first runway show. 踊ってばかりの国 (Odottebakarinokuni), their close affiliate, was left in charge of the music for the show. The strong spiritual nature and sharpened emotions is highlighted by the glistening tone of vocalist Shimotsu with multi-layered sounds giving birth to a distinct and unique sonic image that will strongly show the direction of this party as well. A total of 6 live acts, indescribable with words, have lined up for this occasion. FNCY, formed in 2018 by 鎮座DOPENESS, ZEN-LA-ROCK and G.RINA that bursted into the local dance music scene, and the psychedelic folk band ゆうらん船 (Yuransen), focused around singer-songwriter Itaru Ichimura and bassist Kimura (former member of Gateballers/member of カネコ アヤノ(Kaneko Ayano) band), are among the ones that gives off a mysterious sense of nostalgia. Gliiico, a band formed by 3 brothers, and maya ongaku, an elite of experimental rock, will also stimulate our sense of perception. In addition, Ryo Takaiwa, frontman of jazz/hip hop crew SANABAGUN, colors the stage with romanticism.
Studio X of Contact, with 20 days left until closing, SUGARHILL, the party that has formed the complex sensations and emotions of the city into shape, unfolds a dramatic night that will shake the hearts of supporters.
