From the sweet soul sound of Motown, Strata jazz and P funk of the 70s through the shaping of new style techno in the 80s, and revolutionary hip hop beats by Jay Dee/ J Dilla… this city never stopped nourishing the most forward music for decades. And nobody embodies its musical history and aesthetics like Moodymann. Once again, he returns to Tokyo to do his thang.
