Resident DJ from the world's renowned club Berghain

At the helm of DSKE, a key player who has enjoyed increasing popularity in Tokyo’s gay club scene, Motorpool features his German counterpart, Boris, for the next installment. Having cut his teeth in the late ’80s in New York, the Berliner took his cue from Larry Levan, the legendary host of the Paradise Garage night. After four year-stay in New York, he developed Levan’s influence into a musically-sprawling style, which resonates with Motorpool’s diverse approach. Boris and DSKE, both of whom know the power of music that transcends musical and racial boundaries, come to under one roof here at Contact! Joining them are leftfiled music powerhouse Crue-L’s boss Kenji Takimi, leading Italian modern disco imprint Hell Yeah’s Marco Gallerani and veteran Lyoma, one of the first Japanese DJs who introduced the Berlin culture to Tokyo. Designers Takeshi Oosumi and Yuichi Yoshii have collaborated on a baseball cap for this special occasion. In addition, Yuichi Yoshii, a man behind the Pariya restaurant, teams up with Motorpool for a special selection of its much-loved gelato, serving 14 flavors to celebrate DSKE’s birthday!
