Pioneer DJのオフィシャルプレイヤーharaによるUKガラージ/テクノ・パーティTYTDが、9月のContactの閉店に向けてラストスパートを切る。haraと活動を交差させるピックアップアーティストが、弾けるキックとうねるベースで5時間を隙間なく埋める。今回は、Daichi YamamotoやRAU DEFのプロデュースを手がけるQunimuneや、ラッパーralphのメインプロデューサーも務めるUKDなど、エレクトロニカ然としたディティールの完成度と、フロアをバウンスさせる精巧なサウンドメイク能力を携えた、5アーティストが集まった。
日本最大級のトラックメイク/ビートメイク大会BEATGRAND PRIXの2017年チャンピオンQunimuneは、その冠が示すように美しさと軽快さを内包した多層的で立体的な優れたサウンドデザインを実現させている。今回のフロア仕様のセットとContactのシステムとの相性は、音の輪郭を感じながら高い推進力で進行する多幸的な時間を期待せずにはいられない。Double ClapperzのコンポーザーUKDもまた、Crack Magazine誌からの「10 Upcoming Grime Producers」や、UK屈指のグライムアーティストSkeptaのアルバムリリースイベントのDJに選出されるなどシーンの中で突出したトラックメイカーで、重厚な音像とメカニックな抜群のキレは、Qunimuneとの興味深い対比を味わわせてくれそうだ。国内UKガラージ/ビート・プレイヤーから熱視線を集める、京都の新興レーベル〈ARKDA LABEL〉および、メンバーcva beatzのプロダクトは、今ホットスポットになっている京都を象徴するような独自のファンクネスとダンスミュージックの融合をみせている。さらに、前回のTYTDではパーティをビルドアップしながらインテリジェントな流れを先導した、イギリス〈Garage Shared〉から秀作を連発するkyoなど、完璧と言ってもいいほどのラインナップに成功した。

This edition welcomes Qunimune, who has produced artists such as Daichi Yamamoto and RAU DEF, UKD, the main producer for rapper ralph, a total of 5 artists with the ability to make the dance floor bounce with great detail and perfection of electronica-based sounds.
Qunimune was crowned as the 2017 BEAT GRAND PRIX champion, Japan’s biggest track-making/beat-making competition. He shows great beauty through various layers and three-dimensional sound designs. UKD, a composer for Double Clapperz, is also a track-maker that stands out in the scene. cva beatz, the member of Kyoto’s rising label〈ARKDA LABEL〉who’s getting a lot of recognition from Japan’s UK Garage/Beat players, and kyo, who’s released continuously from England’s〈Garage Shared〉joins to make this the perfect lineup.
