BTC, the top-class Dubstep/Bass Music party

GOTH-TRAD, the pioneer of dubstep, appears for the December edition of the resident series Trilogies.  In 2005, dubstep was on the rise and already in the midst of globalizing the scene.  GOTH-TRAD was the first to bring the same intense vibe from its birthplace to Japan.
His strong inquisitive mind, focused on high quality production of music rather than as a selector, is the reason why he is called one of the world’s best.  The three-dimensional music born from superior hearing, astounding musicology, and his massive imagination with great sound intensity continues to increase the number of fanatics.
With the dubstep scene said to have passed its heyday, GOTH-TRAD’s productions transcend the genre of dubstep while keeping its roots with even more radiance, creating a new branch of post-dubstep.

GOTH-TRAD’s party「Back To Chill」, founded in 2006, was Japan’s first regular Dubstep party that led to his connection with the UK Dubstep scene.  Not only building a reputation among the heads in Japan, it has gained recognition with Bass Music fans from around the world.  Every first Thursday of the month, Contact becomes a sanctuary for the top-class Dubstep/Bass Music party Back To Chill.  Now the pinnacle of Dubstep/Bass Music parties, it gets ready to shake things up in the late hours of Shibuya’s underground.
In the main floor, we have a lineup filled with members of the regular crew.  100mado, entrusted by GOTH-TRAD, the don of Japan’s Dubstep scene, since the start of his party and  has been supporting the underground scene for many years; ENA, a prominent figure with releases from his home label〈Samurai Horo〉and other cutting-edge labels such as〈Nullpunkt〉and〈Arma〉.  HELKTRAM releases from〈Trusik Recordings〉and is crucial in supporting the future of the scene.  CITY1 has been gaining more and more recognition for his releases from labels like〈Gourmet Beats〉,〈Wheel & Deal Records〉and〈DNO Records〉.  MØNDAIGAI displayed his unique and distinct approach to underground Electronic/Noise and heavy bass with his release from〈FKOF Records〉.  This bass music gathering with its powerful formation, Contact’s speakers will be in full motion.
Supporting members in the Contact floor are locals of Japan’s underground bass scene that have played an indispensable role in the year 2021.  Foyer floor, Ambient/Noise/Avant-Garde/Leftfield/Techno as the theme, features 伊東篤宏 (Atsuhiro Ito), known for his various projects such as OPTRON and ZVIZMO, leading the pack to create a chill & chaotic atmosphere.
