音楽の多様性・可能性に満ちたヴァイブラントなライヴ・ジャム・シリーズ開催決定

A vibrant live jam series full of musical diversity and possibilities
「I want to create an improvised music scene in Japan」- SUGIZO. Top musicians have responded to his dream. As a result of accepting the desire for real connections that’s happening across the nation, we’ve organized a scene where a wide range of music meets to cross genre boundaries.
The jam-band style, often characterized by frequent live album releases and unique concerts, began in the 1960s with the Grateful Dead that changed the music scene in America. Currently referred to as “live music scene”, the jam-band scene remains ingrained. The unique improvisational music scene born on Japanese soil, while respecting the origin and history of jam-band in America, will establish its reputation as a “jam-band scene” in modern-day Japan after 20 years of generational transitions. By fusing the current scenes of rock, jazz, funk, electronic music, etc., it will surely develop into a culture unique to Japan in the future.
SUGIZO will be performing live with his psychedelic jam band SHAG. The space created by the four-piece group, whose jazz rock style somehow resembles Miles Electric Band, progresses into new jams. The Free Nation, formed this year centered around TOKU, presents their improvisational performance that crosses jazz and pop that broadens musicality. DJ set by HATAKEN, a leading figure in the world of modular synths who will also be performing with SUGIZO, and keyboardist 坪口昌恭 (Masayasu Tzboguchi). For the finale, with SUGIZO as the host, all musicians will join in for a big jam session. An improv session with SUGIZO on guitar, TOKU on flugelhorn, Masayasu Tzboguchi on keyboard, and HATAKEN on modular synth for a magical moment that can only be seen once.
