Leftfield electronics and exploratory techno from a respected collective

Wordless takes place at renowned clubs Closer in Kiev and Club der Visionäre in Berlin. Previous guests have included Steevio & Suzybee, Vera, Hakim Murphy and Maayan Nidam. Building on their highly respected parties in Europe, Yone-ko and Timur Basha bring their party to Asia for the first time, presenting a thrilling crossover of introspective, experimental electronics and dance music.

Jan Jelinek is famed for his early sample-based works such as the seminal loop-finding-jazz-records, as well as more recent, modular-oriented ambient collaborations with experimental vibraphonist Masayoshi Fujita. His recorded output and live performances balance a range of tones and textures with austere minimalism, human warmth and refined subtlety.

Even Tuell operates on the fringes of contemporary deep house. From being one of the first resident DJs at Frankfurt club Robert Johnson to his releases on his and Lowtec’s lauded Workshop label, he has displayed a keen instinct for balancing playful abstraction and meditative, groove-oriented immersion in his music.

Aoki Takamasa’s freestyle approach makes him the perfect guest to complement the alternative approaches of the headline acts. Equally, Kyoka’s live set is expected to bring a visceral and cerebral experience with steely electronics atop her off-kilter use of low-end, showcasing the culmination of her recent exploratory sonic venture. YPY is an artist with a fast-rising reputation for exciting new modes and methods within this field. With Even Tuell amongst his many admirers, this event provided the perfect opportunity for the two to meet and share a stage for the first time.
